  • What does industrial boiler maintenance involve?

During an industrial boiler maintenance appointment, a Gas Safe registered engineer will start by removing the front casing of the boiler in order to inspect the parts inside. Not only will pipework and seals be examined, but the pressure and the boiler flue will also be checked. The burner and heat exchanger will be cleaned if there is a dirt build up as this can affect the efficiency of the boiler. The expansion vessel will also be tested to ensure that the system has a suitable pressure level; the engineer will listen out for any strange noises.

Our commercial heating services include installation, maintenance and repairs, replacements, reports and surveys and commissioning and upgrades.

  • How do I know if my commercial boiler requires repairs or maintenance?

Any unusual noises - such as clunking, ticking or whirring - are all signs that your commercial boiler could be in need of repair or maintenance work. If you also find that your energy bills are increasing for no apparent reason, this could be an indication that your boiler is becoming less efficient and needs to be inspected.

Regardless of whether anything is obviously wrong or not, your boiler should nonetheless be serviced once a year to ensure that there aren’t any underlying issues that you don’t know about.
